Ready to start learning saxophone?

Great for beginners and easy to follow

Starting from ground zero wasn't really necessary for me personally since I had many years of voice. However this series had thus far helped a great deal in all the specifics I need to get a good foundation for playing an instrument, which I have never done.
Very easy to follow and understand, the book and videos invaluable for someone such as myself that had not been sure if learning to play a wind instrument would be possible at this later point in life.

I am starting to play the alto sax as an older adult without ever playing any instrument prior. The layout of the series is concise, easy to understand and allows you to go at your own pace. I would highly recommend.

As a 75 year old I’ve found the 4lessons so far have been easy to follow and are producing satisfactory results. Looking forward to progressing past stage one.

I am an absolute beginner. I have never played an instrument apart for some guitar. Recently I came across the channel on You tube called Burden and I fell in love with sax sound. I have rented an alto sax and bought this course with Jeremy. I have never regret it. It is very well structured, easy to follow and it is very rewarding with results. Since then I bought my own tenor sax and I play from books, you tube etc. but I always like to go back to this course to do exercises that brought me to my level. I would definitely recommend this course if you like sax and never tried it before. I wish you a lot of fun.

My 12 year old granddaughter and I are both clarinet players, I’m 82. She came to me and expressed interest in learning to double on the sax. We are having fun learning together, although, I must admit she is getting it much better and faster than I.

Love music, but have no musical experience. Can kinda keep a beat, but can’t sing a lick. Have always liked the saxophone, but never played an instrument. So imagine my surprise and excitement when a friend who’s played bass guitar for 60 years told me - confidently - I could l learn this new skill. I wasted no time. Immediately rented a tenor sax, and started searching for online lessons - which led me to SaxTuition. Their fast-paced and comprehensive program has made learning something new both challenging and rewarding. In less than two weeks, I’ve learned to read music, play four notes, make halfway decent sounds and more. With a little concentration and effort, I’m able to get through the practice exercises, improve my breathing and finger work, and then compare my production with that of the professional (included in the program are both fast and slow recordings of how I should sound). I love their approach, and look forward to developing this new skill.

I started from almost scratch and now after lesson 6 i just played a piece from Tjajkovskij’s Swan Lake from the workbook :) The lessons are very pedagogic, easy to follow.

I'm 65 and retired. I've wanted to play the saxophone ever since the 6th grade. We couldn't afford the rental fees back then. I have now purchased a used alto saxophone and the SaxTuition Beginner Series. I have gone thru 3 lessons so far and am amazed that I am actually playing the saxophone and reading music. This course is so very easy to follow and is set up so well. I can't wait to complete this series and look forward to the next series so I can really start playing. I have been enjoying the course a lot. I played Bb clarinet as a kid, and as an adult I decided to take up Alto Saxophone for fun. My progress is going pretty well and fast. I enjoy Jeremy's calm and patient, yet thorough teaching.

I’d watched a few YouTubes and like the way subject matter was presented so decided to invest in the Sax Tuition Beginner course for Alto.
The course was easy to download onto my computer. I got the workbook printed out and spiral bound at the local Officeworks (did it online, easy, then just pick up when ready).
I’m a total beginner, never picked up a Sax before, however the first video lesson and I was blowing, making a sound, and playing different notes. After a couple of days practicing the starter notes, I was playing the first song. Okay, it’s a Nursey Rhyme song, but you’ve got to start somewhere, and I understand that starting on a well known simple tune is very helpful.
One of the particular things I like about the course is it starts on standard music notation straight away, so if you don’t know, or are rusty, you start to learn how to read music at the same time as learning the Saxaphone.
Looking at the lessons ahead, it looks great, and I’m very confident of progressing.

I played Trumpet in a jazz band that was with our band teacher in Jr high (1966 -67. I don't think I learned to read rhythm i must have been playing by ear. I am now learning to read rhythm. I never learned to read patterns. I'm working on it.
